About Kalanit

Kalanit  is an online journal in Hebrew dedicated to the native flora and vegetation  of Israel.  Articles and notes are published about the systematics, geographical distribution of the local and global, biology and ecology of plants in Israel and the Middle East, useful wild plants to humans, folklore about plants in Hebrew and Jewish tradition sources and from other communities, nature conservation and biodiversity. The journal presents original material, which includes the results of studies and opinions published for the first time in Hebrew. The articles are written and edited by leading professionals in the field of botany in Israel. The target public of the journal  is botanists and plant ecologists, persons  involved in the conservation of the Israeli flora, teachers and students, lay lovers of nature and plants.
